Culture can be defined as the way of life that includes arts, believes and institutes of a group of people that have passed down practices from one generation to other generations. Culture is inclusive of the dress code of a particular group of people, their language, religion, rituals and art is also a form of expression of culture. USIU has an advantage of experiencing culture in depth and in one of the pre-eminent ways.

The university does not disregard this advantage of  cultural diversity but rather they take it to be of essence to the institution thus, they has been effort over years to set time aside to celebrate this beautiful thing-culture. This is whereby every community has a chance to express themselves through their meals, clothes, plays and also dances .This event is fashioned to maximize the experience and interactions between different cultures. The event is held over a period of time that enables enough time for each of the groups to present their items ranging from their decorations, special engrossing meals and much more depending on what the culture has to offer. The students get to pitch up exhibition booths to enable other students get a feel of their culture. They get to learn from each other and also taste some of the meals from other culture .The booths are also open for any questions and one could  make the most of a new cooking skill or recipe.

USIU Africa is one of its kind in Africa making it attract a large number of students from different   countries across Africa and even from other continents. This therefore brings about a manifold of culture. USIU also promotes the interaction of these multiple cultures in a great deal of ways. USIU not only offer quality education but also encourages students to indulge in games and various clubs. In this way, students in the institution are able to interact and understand each other better. This is also a great coping mechanism that can be used in future as one has a better understanding of people in their dissimilarities. USIU Africa has the whip hand over other universities in Kenya as it has over 70    nationalities in the institution.

The peak of the event is usually set up on a specific anticipated date. Usually, there is a lot of preparation that takes place before this day as people prepare their presentations and the best presentation is awarded in a very colourful ceremony. This amounts to the incitement to practice hard and have the best presentation on that day. Students in the institution converge on this day and are profoundly entertained. The entertainers not only put work into their presentations but also in there attires and the authenticity is at its epitome. This week is meticulously planned by a committee that ensures everything goes according to the plan of action.

Culture has substantial social and economic benefits in addition to its inherent value. Through improved learning and health, more tolerance, and opportunities to connect with others, culture improves our quality of life and raises general well-being for both individuals and communities. Participating in culture can help us in a variety of ways, some of which are extremely personal. They can deliver emotionally and intellectually moving experiences, whether enjoyable or unsettling, that promote celebration or thought. Culture can also be used to express creativity, develop an individual identity, and improve or preserve a community's feeling of place. Cultural heritage broadens educational and lifetime learning opportunities, including a greater grasp of history.
